Thought I'd drop my first post here.
I'm looking to buy myself a V70 XC and thought I'd register and read up befor I take the plunge.

My last turbo car was a money pit... I'm hoping the volvo will not be.

 

What I've discovered as that Volvo engines (particularly the inline 5-cylinder) are extremely reliable. the trade-off is electrical problems. But those can ALWAYS be fixed. The engine may not.

Well said.... I don't think you will have any issues with a Volvo. Just make sure to have whatever you decided to buy inspected. Also ask for service history. That init self will give you a glimpse of how the car was treated. Welcome
