Good evening everyone. I tried looking for a simular thread but not sure if its the same issue as ones i read.
so here it is in a nutshell. 2003 volvo s80 t6. When driving at a slight or even acceleration the car seems flawless. When i jam down the gas pedal it sort of feels like im feathering the gas off on off on synced like a rollercoaster ride at any speed it lundges continuously until i drive at a constant speed or use a slow/normal acceleration. Im stumped as this is my first car with a turbo. Has anyone come across a situation like this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

how many miles on the car and when was it last serviced? turbos do have a certain amount of lag but it should be more of build up and should not lunge. Causes can be varied - weak spark, dirty throttle body/MAF, fuel pressure issues, intake air leaks or soft hoses, intake or exhaust restrictions etc all come to mind. I take it you don't have any check engine light or service messages popping up?

 

the car has 105,xxx
no check engine lights.
plugs seem ok, new air filter too and oil.
its a soft lunge synchronized in its motion and its only when I mash down the pedal.


How it feels::::::: as if I am softly accelerating and de-accelerating off on off on until I resume normal acceleration.


If I don't mash the pedal its as if nothings wrong at all. I hope that helps some.
