I'm a proud owner of a 2017 Volvo V60, a definite upgrade from my 2008 V70! The mileage on my V60, 2017 is 114,00. At what mileage is it recommended to replace the timing belt and what is the cost, roughly.

check your owners manual for the maintenance interval chart. From what I saw, the non-hybrid 4 cylinders get a belt, tensioner, idler replacment at 150K miles. I'd expect the cost to be in the 600-800 range depending on the shop. You should also have the accessory/serpentine belt serviced as part of that job. Earlier models also recommended a 10 year interval max as well which I'd say is a good idea here as well. No harm in doing the belt at 120K miles either. Have it done right and forget about it for another 6-8 years.

 

My 2020 V90 T6 service schedule recommends that the timing belt, etc, be replaced at 10 years or 150K miles, whichever comes first. The attached is the service manual for OP's car. It has the same recommendation.

Historically, on other cars, I've always replaced the water pump at the same time. If the water pump in in the same area as the timing belt cover, I'd change this as well, if it were me.
