Default V70 T5 2001 camshaft position sensor

Hi, I have a code ECM 644a. Reckon it to be cam position sensor, but I cannot find it !! V70 T5 2001. Can anyone help. Even my Haynes manual got it wrong !! I've got the replacement part, but have trawled the internet for hours and still none the wiser !!

The cam position sensor is on the left end of the cam. (driver side) You will find that the sensor is not bad after you replace it and the code comes back. The code is probably there because the cam timing is very slightly off.

A code does not mean a part/sensor is bad. It means the signal from the sensor is not what is expected. So in the future don't simply replace parts from a code - diagnose why the code appeared.

The T5 is fun with the extra HP!

So, the cam timing could be off. I had a new can belt a few months ago, should I get the mechanic to re do it ?
