I just purchased a 2017 loaded v90 cross country with the premium sound system and it does not even come with a CD player. Is this what happens when the Chinese redesign a car and then they degrade even basic issues. This is my sixth and last Volvo.

 

The Chinese didn't design it. So no.

 

So the head designers in Sweden decided that every buyer in the US did not own any CD"s and just used the compressed garbage downloaded from the Apple store. I really though they were smarter than this but then again they took a great T6 and made a noisy vibrating T5 XC70. A real rush to the bottom.

 

Pretty sure you could have ordered it with a CD player. I know they are not able to be put in the XC90 T8 because of space, but I'm pretty sure that isn't an issue on a T5 V90XC.

 

For what it is worth.... just acquired a 2017 XC90 Inscription and I have a CD player.
