Good morning gents (and ladies),

I am thinking of purchasing a Cross Country for my wife as her daily driver, and a weekend activities vehicle for use at our property (rough gravel/dirt rutted roads to get to it).



I test drove a very clean 2006 model with 18K miles and liked it a lot ($31K) but don't want to spend above $25K for one. What year model would you recommend and are there any got yas with this particular Volvo? Are they as dependable and roadworthy as the older Volvos? How about realistic gas mileage?

BTW she now drive a 1990 740 which she dearly loves, and so do I, too bad it's not an AWD!

Well if you are looking into an XC70, look into an older model. My dad has an 03 or 04 and it is a good car.
