hi,i just join Volvo forum because I need some guidance with my 1994 station wagon. I was sitting idle when a big gush of steam came from under the hood of the wagon and fluids came out from under the vehicle. Two day later I replaced the anti-freeze which just poured out from underneath the vehicle and the car runs hot. Does the cooling agents also cool the transmission because this is where the fluid appears to be leaking from?

First off, you need to tell us what kind of car you are dealing with.

Then, if you experienced a massive sudden fluid loss, something when terribly wrong. Did you blow the motor? Blow a coolant hose? What kind of fluid leaked out? There is no way anyone can help with good information with such a vague explanation of what is going on.
