Hi all,

I just purchased a 1997 850 GLT. Everything is great, except I have an awful whine coming from the power steering pump area whenever the car is on. It is constant when the key is turned and the engine is off, and when the engine is on. The only time it goes off is when the car is completely powered off.
Oddly, the noise changes in pitch whenever I operate the headlights, or wipers, or ever the emergency flashers. I’ve attached a clip for you to see. Any ideas? I initially thought the power steering pump, but now I’m having other thoughts. Thanks. I have also attached a link to a video of the issue in case the video file won’t open.
