Hello volvo enthusiast I have a volvo s80 d5 that has got a really bad wobble through the steering wheel from 30mph too 70mph I have taken it too my local garage they balanced both my front wheels it made a little difference but now has got worse does anybody know what it may be please
is your car FWD or AWD? For road speed dependent vibrations the most common causes are wheels/tires (try doing a front/rear rotation to see if anything changes), axles (check for torn boots, listen for clicking noises during low speed parking manuvers), motor/tranny mounts (any excessive motion under the hood when "power braking"?) , brake rotors (any pedal pulsing during stops), wheel bearings (any change in sound when driving in a right sweeping turn vs left?) and then finally suspension bits (any loose handling, noises going over bumps like rail road tracks?).
