Whistling Noise at Highway Speeds 2024 XC60
I just purchased a new XC60 and it has windshield (maybe) whistling noise at 70+ mph. The dealership can’t figure it out, may have to swap the car but is this prevalent in ‘24 models? Has anyone heard of this?
I couldn’t attach the sound clip but imagine a window slightly cracked on a very windy night, that sound.

I test drove an XC60 with some bad whistling noises. They went away when I hit the up button on the passenger window and close the window the last eighth of an inch. Maybe a window is slightly down and won't go up all the way?
This is now an open case with Volvo. According to service, and Volvo this is a ‘characteristic of the car’ and all ‘24 XC60 models produce this noise at highway speeds. Some less, some more. There is no fix or rework on it. I’m working with the dealer to put me in a different XC60 that I test drove and doesn’t create such an annoying sound until you get to 85+ mph.
seems like a massive design flaw with the new trim. I was in a 2021 loaner for 2 weeks and it was much quieter.
