I'm very new to these forums though in my life I have driven a B122, 240 and 2 740 Wagons... but I know very little about these new-fangled Volvos.

We are looking at getting a 2012 XC60 3.2 for my son. It has 85k and a VERY complete service history. Looks like it was a fleet car for a dealership. He would be driving 20-30m/day and would make a lot of road trips of 100m or more with a fair amount of mountain driving. I know the 3.2 gets some grief for slow pickup but I'm not really concerned about that. I'm mainly concerned about reliability an safety. Is this a decent car for a young person?
