I have 2 turbos put in one last year and one this year i keep having problems with my oil light going off and on. Everything is just about new on the motor except the the transmission. This one car has cost me more than every car i've every had but anyway. i need help with my oil light The oil light keeps coming on and off when i stop at a light or parked it will come on and sometimes when im driving to but it will go off I changed the oil type to get more pressure and added oil treatment what can it be. So what can i do to save me from buying a motor for now, and where it a good place to get a volvo motor low miles with a guarantee

 

You could be leaking oil.

IF the trans has never come off, your rear main seal could be bad, and leaking. that is why you oil pressure light keeps going off, becuase it is too low. When the oil is to low, that means less lubrication for the motor and also the Turbo.

Check for leaks.....get it inspected?

Wait for the experts to get on.

 

What year and model is it?
If it is a 5 or 6 cylinder have the oil pan and pick up tube o-rings checked. Lack of oil pressure will kill the turbo and motor.

 

It's a 5cyl c70 2.3 2001 It blew out my cam seal twice this week all the oil leaked out they think it's a blockage in the cam shaft box so ill know something monday I hope but I had all of the rings replaced unless he didnt chande them.

I will have them to check that but my cam seal blew off twice and all the oil leaked out they think its the cam shaft box where alot of sluge has built up and caused a blockage what u think.

 

Could be a bad PCV system causing all this.

Tech whats you thinking about?

 

Vent system I would say if you blew out 2 seals just this week.
Also maybe it might be low oil pressure as well causing the turbo to go bad.
