wondering about an old NJ Volvo lover
Hi.
Back in the late '90s/early 2k's when I lived in SE PA and still had my old 245, there was a young man in the Central NJ area who was my go-to for parts and advice. My last dealing with him was in 2000, when my beloved brick was sold to a friend, who went to drive it back to CA - and had a catastrophic engine failure in Clarion County PA, a few miles from the Ohio border. (Is it just me or do Bricks tend to test new owners?)
Volvo Guy sold me a long block on VERY short notice, I drove out to pick it up. This was through the Swedishbricks forum on Usenet I think, it's been a while. Story not only had a happy ending, but friend I sold it to... basically I'm part of the family now. Weird how twists and turns go.
Anyway, does any of this ring a bell? I'm just curious if the guy's still around (If you're reading this feel free to say Hi!) Not that I could get there now, I'm in rural Northern Nevada.
Thanks!
