Default RE: Electrical wiz???? Please look here

Unless you know what you are doing or have an engineer at arms length dont try to fab up a new supply, you&nbsp\\;end up being pissed off and frusterated&nbsp\\;with a lot of burns and bad parts.&nbsp\\;If anything go to someone who sells LEDs and show them what you have and they might be able to find something off the shelf. If you have to do some engineering work I suggest doing this.
&nbsp\\;
Open up the suspect bad part.
make note of any cold solders, backwards mounted chips or other defects like maybe swollen capacitors or anything broken.
&nbsp\\;
write down the color codes on any resistors and the markings on any ICs or other components. Make note of any ICs whose writing looks discolored.
&nbsp\\;
google those IC part numbers and find the basic info
&nbsp\\;
go to http://doc.chipfind.ru/&nbsp\\;to get the chip datasheets.
&nbsp\\;
replace parts with exact or equivilants. The parts are probably pretty basic and easy to find at Fry's.
&nbsp\\;
So long as you have a good multimeter and a solid understanding of Ohms Law you can use this method to fix just about anything without knowing anything about it. I hope this helps.
