How do we pronounce...
Gee... it sure is boring around here...
To kill time, I'm asking how we all pronounce our three digit series Volvo's? For me, I say two-forty. This is the only way I think I have ever heard it (mainly because I'm the only one who says it
). So how do you say 240, 850, 740 and so on. I'm going to use the 200 series, but improvise for your series...
Okay... not much to choose from, but I'm sick of seeing my thread from last month in the off-topic section, humor me!

- two-hundred-forty
- twenty-four-zero

The first digit in the badge indicates the car style/model. So, it is pretty common and proper to indicate the first digit alone. Pre '98, the second digit indicats the cylinders in the motor, and the last digit indicated the number of doors.
The newer cars are broken down like this: S=Sedan, V=Versatile, Number=Model.

On the very few occasions when it is necessary to define what sort of Volvo I have, I simply refer to my 2 series wagon just as the nameplate specifies it is i.e. 240 and the same goes for my 850 wagon. Only when being more specific do I refer to it as being the T5 version.

, our 850 was always "eight fitty"
