How's The Weather?

How's The Weather?
I probably got around 20" of snow give or take a few and it's still snowing pretty good (or bad depending how you look at it). I have plowed my 300' driveway three times already and could probably do it again right now. I have an 18 HP John Deere garden tractor that had to work it's butt of to push this much snow. There was probably 14" when I went out the first time this morning and I had plowed right before dark last night. They are calling it the Blizard of 2008. Don't think the Volvo's will be getting out to play for a while. On top of everything else my daughter could go into labor any minute!

TIRED OF ALL THIS DARN SNOW!!
EDIT 2: WE ARE UNDER A LEVEL 2 SNOW EMERGENCY AND I SPENT FROM 10:30PM - 5:00 AM THIS MORNING IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM WITH MY FIANCE' SHE HAS A SLIPPED DISC AND A BULDGING DISC IN HER LOWER BACK. WHEN WE GOT HOME THIS MORNING AND I WOKE UP TO THIS HUGE MESS OF SNOW! IT WAS BAD LAST NIGHT BUT GOT WORSE OVER THE COURSE OF THE MORNING. I MUST SAY THAT THE S80 IS A TANK IN THIS STUFF! WELL I DON'T WANT TO CALL IT A TANK BUT IT DEFINATELY IS BY FAR THE BEST DRIVING VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED IN THIS TYPE OF SNOW. GOTTA LOVE FRONT WHEEL DRIVE AND A HEAVY CAR IN THIS STUFF! MY TRUCK IS REAR WHEEL DRIVE AND IS HORRIBLE AND I COULD ONLY IMAGINE WHAT THE MUSTANG WOULD BE LIKE...LOL..(THAT'S WHY SHE'S SAFE IN THE STABLE ALL WINTER! ANYWAY, I WAS ONE OF THE ONLY CARS ON THE ROAD WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOUR BIG 4X4'S, COPS, AND A FEW OTHER AWD AND FRONT WHEEL DRIVES. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WINTER MODE NOW AND I COULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT THIS CAR AT A BETTER TIME!!!!

Pretty much the same story here in Lexington, KY. I have to take my mother to the airport to fly off to OK City, OK tomorrow through Cincy. Doesn't look like it is going to happen. On the other hand I work with wine grapes, so this upcoming summer seems like it will be very easy for me but not for the farmers. Not much will grow after these temps.

For a change, we dodged the storm completely here on the far western outskirts of Detroit.Didn't get any snow accumulation whatsoever. My wife is bummed 'cause she was hoping to get snowed in and not have to go to work on Monday, lol. Colder'n you know what tho... it's 11 degrees here this morning, sheesh I am tired of the cold already!
Family in Northern Ohio didn't fare so well however. One brother-in-law near Ashland cleared his driveway four times yesterday to try to keep up with it. The other b-i-lin Vermilionhas four foot(!) drifts in front of his garage door. Same with my mom and sister in Lakewood; up to 2 feet of snow and waist high drifts in my sister's driveway. Mom's snowed in but at the tender age of 80 she's got plenty of food, a warm house, and no interest to venture out (she still drives) until this is all gone.
Glad it's not here but I feel for everyone who has it, since we got our share of it this year earlier this year already, including 15 inches on New Year's Day.
Good luck to your daughter on the delivery; let us know how things go!

Killa, I'm in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. 40 miles south of Louisville down I65 and 90 miles west of Lexington on Bluegrass Parkway. Nice on Sunday and it melted all of the snow off the roads.
