Default Make shift heated seat...

Just recently it's gotten pretty cold where I live.. actually just yesterday... anyhow to keep extra warm for my drive in the morning, I've been using an inverter and a heat pad in my seat. I did some googling before just to make sure it was ok. Some people were against it, and some people say it should be ok. I just wanted some insight from some of the people from the forums! So what do you think?
Thanks,
Evan

I would try that too if I didn't have heated seats. I don't see anything wrong with what you are trying to do so long as you are safe with the electrical connections and not carried away with the heating pad. I worry about water getting on the electrical once the snow gets here.

Out of curiosity, what were you planning on using? I am picturing an electric blanket style rig draped over the driver's seat.

Im using just a basic little heating pad that people with arthritis use on their backs... i just move it depending on where i want it... back or bottom of seat. Makes the seat nice and toasty.

Oh. Of course. Just be careful. Be sure the wires are in good condition. Make sure the inverter has a fuse so if something happens, nothing happens.

inverter does indeed have a fuse... I assume the inverter has been able to handle it.. it doesn't even get slightly warm...
