So, my friend got a sub. Not sure what kind, but he was bragging about it. I think his car is a 1996 Altima. Anyways, he's all bragging about it, playing some music, so I handed him my Bass Test CD. (good THX stuff). His poor trunk shook something fierce, ear speakers rattling and buzzing bad on the highs and lows, sounded like crap. He said, "that CD is intense". So I plugged it into my stock Volvo speakers in my t5. Freaking flawless.

 

I've 1200 watt speaker running 1000 in my trunk. I've got some super rattle.

 

LOL, nice story. I do hear people complain about the stereos in their Volvo's but I just think they do NOT have the premium system. I believe Alpine made the head units back then.

I took a premium system out of a 960 and swapped the face off of the stereo that was in our S70, then installed it in the S70. Now my daughter is a happy camper. I can hear her coming home now. LOL

 

What's fun is thumping the bass when there is water on the side mirrors. The droplets on the top of the mirror casing thump to the music like flubber, lol

I love stories like this one. It is great when people through a big sub in there trunk and do nothing to insulate the trunk or come close to doing it correctly and then brag about it. Then we someone shows them up, they look like a complete dumbass.
