Well I did it. I bought myself a pickup. I could have killed for a Triton V10 but they are far too expensive or have way too many miles. So I settled for this.

A few years ago I decided I wanted a truck for the practicality...



Lets just say that a light RWD truck with a 5.9 dropped in, a big cam, heads, and lots of nitrous wasn't actually that practical. A lot of fun though.

 

Haha nice. I've always liked the Dakota with the 5.9 in it. Genius of them to offer that in a small pickup, imo.

 

We actually dropped it in, it came with the 5.2 in it. That thing hauled *** for what it was, ran a 12.0 1/4 mile.

Do you use yours for towing or just regular hauling stuff around?

 

Yes I will eventually tow lightly with this. Actually the reason I wanted a 3/4 ton with the V10 is a good friend of mine that owns a body shop told me I can use his 35 foot gooseneck to haul cars for him on the weekends to Oklahoma City and wherever. No gooseneck is ever going to see this half ton though.
