Default the r...

Looking at getting a s60r, after totalling my 2001 s80 t6 ....

Some quick questions which I do not have a clear cut answer too after my search across the web.

The 04/05 s60r automatic have the 5 speed gear box as i understand, and lately I have been reading around that there torque is limited to 258 lbs of torque. Is that correct?

Also, how common of a problem is this bevel gear or angle gear occurence? seems to be more problematic in the 04/05 models...

is this part more reliable with a 06 s60r?

thanks in advance

yes on the torque limited values for 04-05. I thought they are the same 6 speed as 06-07?

we have an 07 V70 r, and not one problem with the bevel gear...

yeah, the bevel gear is making me unsure whether to get an 04 or 05 s60r, on the other forums swedespeed I think, a lot of people have been claiming that this component tends to leaks, and when it fails its like 5000$ to fix :X..

I think I am gonna aim for the 06 or 07 model.

Yeah the 04/05 s60 R's auto are 5 spd and the 04/05 manuals are 6spd. they made them both 6spd in 2006 lol..
