OK, 99VolvoV70, this is getting pretty wierd! We drive the same cars, basically have the same mileages and have the same problems! I changed the radiator for my Eclipse about 2 months ago and the damage was in the same exact place...[sm=insomnia.gif]Are you my long lost twin?[sm=yikesomg.gif]

That is weird. So here's a question - how many broken door handles have you had on the Eclipse? I've changed out both sides now. Also, do you have the excess weather sealant in the doors so that it drips down on the door jamb during the summer and then hardens up in the winter? I hate how it gets on the doorlock and gums it up so that it's almost impossible to unlock it during the winter. I've actually broken a key because it was so stiff. I think I've taken apart the driver's side door about 30-40 times now to clean off the metal rod that connects the lock, replace the door handle and reposition the outside lock (it's never been as secure since I changed the door handle).

Anyway, I'm getting ready to do the timing belt again at the next oil change (hopefully). I'm not looking forward to that! I remember hating that main pulley on the driveshaft - just didn't want to come off.

Yup, I've replaced both handles andas far as theweather sealant not really a problem. I had the timing belt changed about 2 years ago. My instrument lighting for the air conditioner/heater dial and air flow selector lighting is out and I have no idea how to change them. Good luck on your timing belt change! Oh yeah, by the way what colr is your Eclipse, my is Barcelona Red(Maroon).

I haven't had to change that lighting yet, but I did wire an XM radio to mount on the dash. In the process I popped out the vents above that section and dropped the wire down behind to the radio. I think it would be fairly easy to reach around back there after taking out the kick panel to the right of the gas pedal. You could check to see if the light is burnt out and make sure there's power going to the bulb. I'll take a look at it, but you might even be able to pry it out like I did with the vents, I can't remember.

Mine's black (although it has many shades of dirt on it - from brown to red).
