Yess! Check out the max speed. 158mph. I wonder which stretch in Texas they pulled that off on.

Thanks for sharing, me and you are gonna do the bborr or equivalent before the decade is over.

Ok, will do.

I doubt they did that in Texas, a lot of cops there and I-40 is not as straight as people thing. A lot of traffic to. Believe it or not, Oklahoma (west) and Arkansas (east) has a LOT of flat straight roads. I actually think they are flatter and straighter than Texas and New Mexico.

I am looking forward to the BBORR. Also, I may have a few "records" under my belt. LOL Not nearly as long of a stretch though.

Nevada would be a fine place to do this. Loneliest Highway in America?

That's where my Dad got pulled over once...His '71 Z/28 vs. a '71 351C-4V Mach 1. Back when these were new cars. Both got hauled down by the long arm of the law in a big block Ford...but not before these (non-overdrive) cars hit 140+ trying to show who had bigger whatevers...

At least, that's the story I am told.

Not for me. I want the Big Bend Open Road Race. They fastest class for Noobies is 125. Heck, if money were no issue, I'd likely do this one to. I'd almost drive my car AS IS for this road race. 110 for 90 miles... that's nothing. Let me look for the GPS pic I seen...

Lol I know, its about $2k plus and you're still "limited"

Back in the day It was cheaper for me to run up to 152 GPS verified, get pulled over, go to court, pay $350 and adjudication withheld.. thanks to my clean record and good karma.

These open road events are great only if they're in your home state and all you spend is a couple days and a few hundred bucks. I hear you on the BBORR. To average 125 I'd have to be cruising at around 140 and max her out on a couple stretches, then slow down to the low 100s by the timing stands.

110 average is muh daily commute. Lol jk
