The sight looked divine.

Ah, the beauty of the CD (Convergent-Divergent) nozzle to control the reaction thrust...

The orbiter (the part that looks like an airplane; the pax compartment) does not have its own thrust during descent & landing. The orbiter, when re-entering the planet, slows down by following an S-shaped curves and lands like a glider with no thrust blah blah blah...

The vid looked very nice with the sunset in the background.

I've been to the space center but never saw a launch. Last time I missed it by only a few days. Just seen the Apollo rocket blew my mind. They said to this day it's still the most sophisticated machine ever belt by man.

Thought I'd add that in there.

I've gone a few times for day AND night time launches. I personally like the night ones. we usually camp out at Jetty park over where the Cruise liners come in and out of. It's all fun and games, then you have to pack up and head back into town on the parking lot called "Beeline aka 528",lol...
