I rented a new Mercury Milan last week and was surprised by
the handling and brakes. The suspension was softer than on my
850 but the handling wasn't bad and the brakes were almost as
good as my Audi.
When I returned the car I asked the fellow that does the maintenance
which cars he liked best ( major car rental company, he sees a lot
of new cars). His answer- Ford. He felt the handling and quality
on Chevy's wasn't as good.

Found On Road Dead?

Actually been a GM man all my life. I've had both new GM and new Ford products, and GM wonout every time for my money. They do build a great truck from what I hear, however.

Also, I don't consider the Volvo a Ford, and neither do the employees over in Sweden

If I had to pick I guess I'd go with Ford for one reason--the Fusion. I actually like that car (though not as much as Volvos).

Some of the old Chevys aren't bad. I was always an Olds guy as far as GMs were concerned until they stopped making them. I've always liked Toronados and the old 88s back when they still had Rocket engines in them.

Know how Ford was able to solve what was wrong within their company? They drew a circle around the problem.
