I purchased a 1980 265 GLE that has a Chevy 4.3 V6 in it and a 700r4 transmission (the original engine was bad). I would like to make the cruise control work (the car has the cruise control installed, but not yet connected to the chevy engine.

Does anyone know how the cruise works on this car? Would I use chevy parts or volvo parts? Is there like a speedometer cable driven servo used to control the throttle like on older chevys and fords or does volvo do it some other way? Should the servo be under the hood inline with the speedometer cable or what? I am totally new to volvos.... please help!
