I need advice, opinions or thoughts. I'm currently looking to purchase an suv and I've come down to 2. An older Bmw x5, lets say 2002 3.0 or a newer Honda Pilot 2wd.
The Bmw I'd be totally happy with because well, it's a Bmw and I've loved those Bmw engineering since.....since a long time ago. The Bmw would be a self indulgent purchase while still being able to carry my soon to be toddler around.

The Pilot on the other hand would be more of a "family car". With standard 3rd row seating and option of DVD entertainment.

The pro's and con's of both can go on and on. I'll leave it at this for now.
I'm open to anything anyone has to say.........

My wife votes for the X5 by the way.

 

X5, but there will be more cash going into maintenance costs than the honda.
Have you thought about the Subaru B9, it is much safer than the other two.
