I sent my car to the crusher! The state gave me $3k toward a new car to crush it, so I took that offer. I figured that would be cheaper than trying to keep that thing on the road. I put it up for sale for a week with no calls. I'm just glad to get that thing out of my life. The nail in the coffin was seeing the water pump leaking last night...

I'm not sure what I'll do with all of my time with 2 new cars under warranty! Well, besides swapping trannys in the road race car this weekend and swapping engines in the rally car later...
Cheers.

Yesterday, I scoured the junk yard for some new to me stuff. Replaced the inside temp control panel and cleared the ECC codes for my a/c. Been riding cool ever since
Today, I replaced a few little pieces that I picked up while on my junk yard trip. They had 17 850 Volvo's '95 and '96's; that place might just be my new favorite shopping center!

On the 850:

1. Installed the lower transmission torque mount. If you feel any shift jerking at all, you really should try the ipd mount, it is great.

2. Installed the ipd cabin air filter adapter and the charcoal filter. I had to file the slot in the adapter a little so the charcoal filter would CLIP in properly. No big deal. Try the filter before you install the adapter to save a little time. 15 Minute mod.

3. Reset the service light.

Swaped out a speaker in the rear passenger door of my 850.

Also made an attempt to replace the passenger side head light wiper motor. Got about 1 hour into it and realized that I would have to just about remove the entire front end of the car to get the motor out. The piece that holds the headlights in, that goes from fender to fender would have to be removed because of some tube behind the motor. I'll tackle that some other time.

new exhaust and turbo housing last weekend. Got my new headunit after my other one was stolen, put it in, and now my sub doesn't have any power and my driver side read deck speaker isn't working. Now I have a new project for this weekend. And my passenger front strut is bad, I'll save that one for next weekend.

It's a never ending story....

Cleaned the PTC on the back of the PVC on the S70, did not fix the dip stick smoking. On to the total PVC system replacement.
