Installed new spark plugs.

 

Changed the oil. Had to try a Bosch premium filter (I was out of Mann).

 

Pulled all the interior plastics , the head liner, the sunroof shade . Recovered the shade and the headliner in charcoal grey cloth to match the rest of the interior and painted all the plastic (handles and dome light) to match. Replaced all the clips, still have to dye the visors, prob next weekend.

 

Changed the drivers side wiper arm out with one from a S70

 

Removed old ignition, replaced complete assembly with replacement off e-bay. Stealer wanted $552 for replacement ignition. E-bay winning bid: $25 with key. 1998 C70, so no chip. E-bay bid/won $340 replacement drivers side window regulator with glass, awaitig delivery. Removed door panel etc, to facilitate replacement. Took original assembly out & re-installed to ensure quick procedure when new one arrives. Stealer wanted $820 for new regulator without glass. Got 2 new keys cut, had blanks from e-bay, $30 ea. to cut my blanks. Forum info on security screw removal was perfect.

 

Replaces the wiper blades. Went with Michelin's this time, paid about $5 for them.

 

Touched up the wheels.

 

Replacing drivers door window regulator. New assembly came with window.

 

Replaced oil cap seal.

 

New wipers! Wow, the extreme heat and drought of this past summer completely dryrotted my wipers. Received an email from wipers123 (online) and they are running rebates on both front and rear wipers - good deal. Got them ordered and on their way!!

 

Replaced both o2 sensors with used ones I pulled from a junked car that looked well kept.

Installed a Zapco 360 4ch amp and Infinity Kappa speakers, going to start Fiberglassing a sub enclosre into the back of the wagon

 

Installed a rear bumper protector flap.

 

Window regulator & window installed. Got to tweek top to loosen up for dollar test. Got to adjust up heighth jam side down 1/8th inch. Going to disassemble old regulator/motor assembly this week to locate failed part inside. Used Permatex black silicone to redo rubber seal both sides of rear window, ultra-violet sun rays deterated rubber. Smooth out channel with wet pencil. Clean up with finger nail polish remover. Removed old tint film glue from window with finger nail polish remover.

 

rspi You rebuilding your ride? Piece by piece? Not many owners have the attention to detail and ambition to get everything replaced and fixed right. I methodically fixed up my 1989 Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire station wagon a couple years ago, bumper to bumper, then maxed out the 302 V8, alot of power but original brake system scary even when totally rebuilt. No ABS.

Push unlock button on key fob, passenger door unlocks, driver door appears to unlock, doesn't. Push unlock button several times, door does not unlock. Use key door unlocks. Sit inside push lock button both doors lock, push unlock button passenger door unlocks, driver door appears to unlock, but doesn't, hit unlock button again, driver door unlocks. Going to go to junk yard look for replacement door lock mechanism, called door keeper by Volvo.
