Default What do you do about your health???

Do you try to take as good of care with your body as you do your Volvo? I would say that I do.

I'm over 40 and hope to live another 25+ years. Here are a few things that I do:
  • Walk 2+ miles per day, 6 days per week.
  • Eat very little fried foods.
  • Check my blood pressure several times per week. Almost ever time I enter the grocery store.
  • Drink water daily.
  • I usually do NOT drink alcohol.
  • Try to eat balanced meals.
  • Eat very little fast foods. Real fast foods are fruit; apples, oranges, etc.
  • Eat REAL whole foods and suppliments.
  • Try not to **** people off (that can kill you).
Hope you're doing some things that will help you live healthy while you are on this earth.

Don't like to get preachy but it's pretty common knowledge that drinking in moderation is quite beneficial to longevity; makes you happier too...

I understand. I have heard many things about the benifits of having a beer or two, or red wine. It's so often that people go from 1 beer a day to 10 or 20 that I just don't buy it. BTW, my wife has Wernicke encephalopathy, the Ninja Assassin to alchololics.

I think it is absoultely wonderful that so many people are starting to take care of their health. Me on the other hand have not. I am almost 40 and have not taken the time to take care of me, everyone else yes.

One of the hardest things for me to do is to get out of the house....Easy for most. I live alone. They say friends are the best things to have around. I would love to have friends but I guess I am anti social...I get so tired of being used by my neigbors and everyone else in my life that I have given up hope on finding friends.

Hats off to those that take care of themselves.

Get up at 4:15 am every morning and do 5 miles on a Nordic Trac. I just went past 27,500 miles about a month ago. I've worn out two machines and I'm on my third one.

Severely limit my intake of fried foods. Take multi vitamin supplement. Try to eat healthy (usually do a good job).

Help coach local high school track team and fish to reduce stress.

I bet you get good deals on those Nordic Trac machines after others leave them in their garages.
