Has anyone heard about the 09 VW Jetta TDI Clean Diesel. It gives over 40MPG. I which Volvo would bring Diesel cars here in the states with the gas prices being so high. Plus Diesel cars last longer than anygas cars.

 

mhm, i looked into the tdi back in the day, i know some of them got 50+ mpg, throw a programer on it, a big turbo, injectors, exhaust and it should cook pretty good

 

My only complaint is that it's fwd.

 

I hear the VW clean diesel is awesome. Super quiet, no smoke, and no vibration, all while averaging 40+ mpg. A buddy of mine had a jetta with the last generation TDI in it, and it was sweet. He had it chipped, upgraded injectors, and a few other things and it got a consistent 46-47 mpg while driving 85. I'd buy one, but the whole FWD thing really turns me off.
