Neutral Button Sticking

My 2003 Regal Commodore 2464with VP 5.0L GXi has recently began experiencing a neutral button that does not pop back out properly when coming back out of neutral. I would appreciate any insight on this problem. Thank you.

you need to open it up and lube it up
