Question Cooling for AQAD 40A

I´m mounting a second hand AQAD40 as an midengine. This engine has been mounted to a sterndrive. My problem is: how do I connect incoming seawater for cooling? I know that the water came in thorough the drive but in my boat, I have two oilcoolers on that line, one for the drive, one for a separate reduction-unit. I am afraid that these two heat-exchangers (coolers) don´t let enough water through. So, I wonder, could I take seawater to engine direct and make a T-coupling after the seawater filter so I can connect to these two coolers. They are already connected to the muffler for exiting seawater? The hardest way may be to drill a new hole through the hull and mount an electric pump to cool the drive and reduction unit. My earlier engine was a Volvo D67C. It started as an engine in a dumper.
