Do any of you smart cookies know if I can get my hands on a transom adaptor plate for volvo to Mercruiser change over. I have an AQ130D with a 280 out drive. I'm changing it out for a Mercruiser V6, 190 hp, Alpha 1 drive.

I know the hole for the merc is smaller than the volvo and will need an adaptor plate.

I have found many adaptor plates but they all appear to be 8 bolt Volvo to 8 bolt Merc. I can't see how that can work with mine as the 280 out drive is only a 6 bolt plate.

Does anyone know if there is such an adaptor for this or am I trying to find a needle in a haystack in a coal mine?

If anyone can shed some clues on such a beast it would be kindly appreciated.

The volvo out fit will be up for sale over winter if anyone is interested. There is nothing wrong with the Volvo outfit and is operating perfectly and will still be in use over this summer. I'm simply looking to increase a little more HP.
The change over will be done over the winter months ready for next summer.
