Volvo penta 5.7GS
Hi,
I’m having a issue with my Volvo penta 5.7 GS.
I think I have located it to be the fuel pump. I have tried to change both fuel filter and water separator filter and when i tried to start the boat again I noticed that the glass cup underneath the fuel filter didnt fill up.
I have taken off the hose on the suction side, but there was no suction what so ever.
I measured the volts going into the pump after the relay and i didnt Get any volts when i turned on the ignition. But when i tried to crank the engine I got a measurement of 9V. But this was after a long time of trying to start the engine.
shouldn’t there be any volts to the pump when I turn on the ignition?
Anyways shouldn’t there be suction as long as the pump gets volts?
best regards
Fredrik
