I am looking for a working SC-901 stereo. Must be in working order, in good cosmetic condition and preferably with the 3 disc CD cassette /cartridge / carrier thingy. I will gladly pay a fair price for a quality unit.

It seems I need an amp too. I thought I had one but I just looked at the back of my 816 and there is no plug in the AMP socket.

 

Still looking for the SC-901 but no longer in need of an amp and cable.

I found the 4 x 50 watt 9452029 amp used for under $100. The cable harness for under seat mounting 9452030 will be new from the dealer for just under $27. I went ahead and added 2 screws 946173 to the order.
So here are the parts I am using for the '99 V70XC:

1 9452029 4 x 50 watt under seat amplifier
1 9452030 cable harness for under seat mounting
2 946173 flange screw

Hopefully this will all be plug and play with my existing SC-816. This will also get me ready for a SC-901 as soon as I find a deal on one. I was hoping for the behind the radio amp as I have other stuff mounted under the RH seat but I think I can just rearrange things and be ok. This will also leave space behind the radio if I ever to the Dolby upgrade. As I understand part of the Dolby system mounts there.
