1980 242 v8/5 speed swapped
1980 Volvo 242 - $5,000 open to reasonable offers
Fast and fun sleeper
Chevy Camaro drivetrain swapped
Build thread located here: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...reactor-51174/
The GOOD:
Interior:
Newer seat covers and carpets installed
Blaupunkt Speakers
Alpine Stereo
Engine:
1986 Chevrolet Fuel Injected 5.0L V8 (LB9)
Throttle body coolant bypass
Holley Throttle body airfoil
Custom built Cold Air Intake
Ceramic Coated Headers
Transmission:
Borg Warner T-5 5 speed manual
Pro 5.0 Short throw shifter
Wilwood clutch master cylinder and pedal assembly
Hydraulic clutch system (Braided stainless steel fluid transfer line)
Fuel System:
Brand new fuel tank (stock replacement)
High performance electronic fuel pump
High flow fuel filter
All fuel lines brand new (stainless steel braided AN line in the engine compartment)
Suspension:
Brand new shocks and struts
Wheels:
240 GT 15” wheels
The Bad:
Needs some finish work done on the interior.
Speedometer not functioning – custom cable needs to be built
Coolant temp guage not reading correctly – new sending unit required
Shifter boot needs to be installed
The car could use a paint job. I was going to paint it but I figured I’d let the new owner pick the color.
Brake master cylinder needs replacing. I have a new one that comes with the car – It stops just fine but the seals leak.
Really just a few minor issues need to be fixed and you’ll be on the road with a one of a kind hot rod.

Don't be shy, reply. I'm looking for your expert feedback on this car.
I built it for a friend to try and get my hot rod shop off the ground.
Customer lost interest and the rest is history, the shop fund is in the red and I gotta get this car gone and get working on the next project.
If you think I'm way outta line on the price, let me know.
thanks
