Starting out with a bone stock 1980 242. Swapping in a Tuned Port Injection Chevy 5.0L similar to the JTR conversion.
Here's the engine that will be going into the Reactor.

Transmission is gonna be a 5 speed Borg Warner T-5.

 

Seriously envious of you man. If only I had the time and know-how to throw something like that together.

Great and it will be fun. I did a few conversions in Jaguar's . Both XJ-6 and XJS and they make for a sweet conversion. There is a guy in our local area who did a 245 with a 350/350 in it and it was a nice clean conversion. Good luck and have fun. Please keep us posted.

 

Out with the old.
Spent about 6 hours pulling the Volvo 4 cyl.
Stock Engine and trans are now for sale.
engine ran OK, when it was cold you couldn't step on the gas without it stalling, but when it warmed up it ran like a champ.
trans shifted good, with no noises.

 

Looking good Eric. Now what are we going to do with that old Scandinavian steed of a motor/trans???

worked on the engine and transmission mounts over the weekend. now I'm prepping the engine bay for some fresh POR 15.

 

Nearing the completion of the project and the car will be up for sale soon. Gotta make room for the next project.
I'll get some new pics up here soon. Let me know if your interested. I gotta tell ya, its gonna be tough to let this one go, I've been driving it, working the bugs out and its an absolute blast
