More details to come, but I'm going to be selling my 1971 Volvo 142s starting in April. I need it gone by mid-June. I am planning on backpacking Europe for 3 months and don't want any major possessions to worry about while I'm gone.

The car is very reliable, has always started, even in 6 degree weather, at least for the last year and 3 months. However, she needs some work to be perfect. Currently it's used as a daily driver and does the job well. It is 4 speed, with a 4th gear over drive switch. Dual carbs.

She looks good from 10 feet away. Has minor rust, biggest area a 6x3 inch hole under the passenger side seat. But that is really the only major rust area. It is a rare car, but parts aren't impossible to find. They often show up on ebay and there are niche sites to find more of the obscure parts.

The car has classic plates which does not require it to pass emissions in Colorado, however you would need to check with your local laws. As she sits, she will not pass emission as she needs an exhaust. I can list everything that needs to be done to the car to make it basically run better and more comfortably, but as I said, if you are down to drive her as she is, she will be reliable. Email me if you would like those details. It could take a couple of days, but I will eventually respond.

With a little money put into her, she would be an amazing car. Not fast, but definitely a classic. Don't ask how many miles is on her, as it's 40 years old and I don't trust the odo, not to mention it hasn't worked since I've owned it. Asking price will be $2k or best offer.
