(Portland, OR) 1985 245 DL Wagon - Blue - $2200obo
My wife and I are selling our old 245DL. We purchased it ~7-8 months ago from a volvo enthusiast who used it as a daily driver and put something like 3k miles on it a year. The previous owner was an elderly gentleman and kept every possible record for it. We have everything, including oil changes and even a good amount of gas receipts from 1986 to current.
The car has just over 300k miles. The body is completely straight with no dents. There is a little rust on the tailgate, and some corrosion/rust where it looks like some bad windshield wiper fluid chewed through the paint. It has never been hit. There are some general scratches and stuff, but the car is very clean considering the mileage. The interior is dead perfect, minus the particle board panel on the hatch which doesn't always want to stay put (needs several new clips).
Mechanically, the car runs beautifully. It starts right up and runs smoothly. The transmission can be a bit slow to shift and very occasionally "clunks" when it shifts, but it's done that since we bought it and hasn't gotten better or worse in 8 months. It has had a couple vacuum leaks, which were fixed. Some welds on the muffler cracked and have been repaired (temporarily) with JB Weld. A new muffler is $50 and is an easy install, I just haven't had the time and we are selling the car. The throttle body also needs to be cleaned out as it "sticks" a bit when the car first starts. Again, easy fix, I just haven't had time.
I'm trying to be as accurate with the car as I can so nobodies time is wasted. You can PM me with your number and I would be happy to give more details on the car. The car is posted on other forums as well as CL. We are located in Portland. We've also picked up a new car, so we are "motivated" to sell

I obviously just registered on the forums, so I will not ship the car. I'd prefer anyone who's interested to come and test drive the vehicle so there are no surprises. It's an old car with a lot of miles, and it feels like it. It still has a ways to go, and the body and interior are in good enough shape that it would be worth swapping another motor and tranny someday.
