Default 2004 S40 blutooth

hi, new to the forum. im trying to find a way to play my ipod on teh s40 radio, preferable using Bluetooth, however everything i have looked up says that because the car has climate control integration i am out of luck... any suggestions.

you should be able to use a Grom adaptor which plugs into the head unit via the CD changer connector. Crutchfield's web site is a useful source for what add ons work

Have you, Mt6127 or anyone else used the Grom adapter. I have researched a little into them and Grom is saying it wont work since my radio has built in climate control.

do you need bluetooth or can you live with a wired connection? Not sure why they are saying it won't work - perhaps there's not enough room behind the head unit to place the adapter. As an alternative you can simply go with a replacement unit (either single DIN or double DIN ) or shop for a wired connection adapter. Some have posted up pics of putting a single DIN in with gauges in the free space for a nice look.

If you've got a tape deck (my 03 S40 does), you can pick up an aux to tape adapter for $5.
