Default Low Beam Failure light flickers

I own a 2013 XC60 and begininning in May the Low Beam Failure Light comes on and off periodically. Weeks go by without any problem and then one day for 10 or 15 minutes it acts up again. Once in June the passenger light actually went off but when the car was restarted it was okay. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks in advance,
Bill

Are you running stock light bulbs in the car (are they original? Its possible there's a loose connection or the bulb filament is about to break off. Is your car running HIDs or halogens? If you have HIDs (ie xenon bulbs), there's a ballast that may also be a point of failure.

I'd probably start by inspecting the sockets and consider dropping in new OEM spec bulbs to baseline.
