Hello, I’ve got a question. I just bought Volvo S80, 2004 and found out that odometer is not working for the most of the time (and it worked during the test deive before I bought the car). There is ABS and brake check light on, cruise is not working and the panel says something like “brake failure, stop safely”. Sometimes when I turn off the engine and start again, everything work for a while until the ABS and brake lights are on again, then the problem is back immediately. I went through many forums and websites and read a lot of advices so I guess there is some problem with the ABS module, however, I still have one question. If my odometer doesn’t work for the most of the time, is there any chance to find the real mileage somewhere? Because maybe I just bought a car which has way higher mileage that it really says. I really need to know this because this will probably be the only chance how to get my money back or how to actually sell the car with the right information. Thank you for any advice.
