XC60 2022 vs 2023 and Audi Q5
Volvo is the only car I’ve ever owned, and I’m currently driving a 2010 S60. But it’s time to replace it. Considering the XC60, and Audi Q5.
I keep hearing about reliability issues with Volvos these days - is it enough to steer away from the brand now? The sales rep at the dealer admitted to it, and said it was software related with their move to the google platform, but that’s now been fixed.
Reading the forum, it sounds like the 2022 XC60 was a bit rough… should I even consider a lightly used 2022 to save a few bucks, or should I stick with a 2023?
Any comparisons to the Audi Q5? Pros/cons?
Thanks!

I have a '23 late model XC60. The model years are all split early/late. I've been driving it for 4 months, and it's been bullet proof. The 22's, and to a lesser extent, the early 23's had some issues with software that have mostly been rectified with updates. The 22's also had some battery and TCAM issues. It's probably just me, but I would steer clear of the PHEV's, as I don't think they are quite ready for prime time. I do think the ICE mild hybrid late model 23's and beyond are a really great vehicle. Of course, this is just my personal view.
