Driver's door won't open from inside after door panel R&R
Any ideas before I tackle this tomorrow? the door lock post doesn't go up and down properly in the panel as well. I'm looking at a picture I had when it was apart, and while I know the door post came out of the interior lock mechanism (I thought I reset it properly), I don't have any idea what happened to the interior handle as I thought that was all held in place.
the door handle is fixed, the cable had just become dislodged, but the rod is ridiculously difficult to reinstall. Too hot out to deal with now, will try again someday maybe. For now, it looks locked. I did the same thing to the passenger side a couple years ago replacing the side mirror, except that looks unlocked, so the car is officially quirky.
