Orlando Mega Meet
Ok,
So after a long absence on here and most of the forums I frequented, I am ready to try and put another meet together. Last years Ikea meet was awesome and the turnout was better than expected. Also the Vendors I know donated tons of stuff for freebies. Unf. the past few months I have been 6 feet under working on my home I bought in January. It sat empty for a while so I had lots to do. The next meet I would like to pull off would be at Sea World Orlando, which is my place of emplyment. I can get a picnic type venue catered and also have a large area to have a few Volvos displayed. We would have an area for Volleyball, food catered and also access to the park for the rest of the day. Early estimates on price per person would be around $16-$20 bucks per person and also includes parking. The catch is that it would be group pricing and would have to prepay for the total number of people. I believe that quote would be if I guaranteed 75 individuals. I also might get 30% off the price with my employee discount. To go to the park at front gate prices is $70 bucks plus tax, $15 bucks in parking and whatever food you purchase separate. This is a superdeal for an all inclusive day including Volvos. Please remember that this is a price estimate quote. It's not in stone but once we get a solid number of people wanting to go I will get solid prices. ok...Well I am looking at either the end of August or Early Sept. I did find out that in order to display a few member cars on the grass area, I would need a 4 million dollar insurance policy PER CAR in case the cars were to blow up and hurt people.......
... No cars will be on display,lol... I am still trying to get the details. I am going to get together with a moderator from Volvospeed who is also a local and we are going to throw some ideas for the meet. As I get more info I will keep you posted.
