I have been around cars long enough to know the difference between a shop with the golden touch and what I can do in my garage. There is no comparison. My trans isn't dead but it's near the end of its life. Nearing 170K and it's time to rebuild while the cost is lower and the job is easier. Does anyone happen to know a local shop that can go through one of these 5 speed autos adding any improvements found over the years to improve its durability?
