Seems to me that everyone and their mom outside of Fla. has Volvo@IKEA meets and never here in the South, so I am taking things into my own hands.... I am looking to see if anyone in Central Fla., South Fla. or anywhere else is intrested in doing this! I have posted on 2 other Volvo sites and seems to be taking off BUT before I contact the IKEA store here in town, I want to see what the consesus is. I believe also there will be a group of VDUB owners also taging along. So if intrested and live in the area or will be driving in, voice you opinion. If it seems like we get a good number online, then I will go foreward with setting it up. Let the conversation begin!

 

Oh man. Now I'm definitely flying down to Florida. I've always wanted to go to one of these, might have to take matters into my own hands as well and plan one for the Midwest.

Oh man, could you? That would be great. There's two Ikeas in Chicago. They're practically asking for a bunch of Volvo's to come invade its Swedish parking lot.

Yes!, I posted on CFLeuro.net, here, Volvolution.com,VS and Turbobricks. Seems to be picking up momentum!

 

I've never actually been to one of these events.. what do you usually do there? Just gather and talk about Volvos? I know there are many up in the Central Fl area, so if the word gets out, it could be big! I'm also pretty sure that some of the volvo dealerships in the area such as Volvo of Winter Park wouldnt mind sending a few demo cars over if you contact them..

 

We usually hang out, share info, drool over cars, pick up ideas, drool some more, grab some swedish meatballs, drool some more and meet new people!

 

This is the first Volvo one for me! I used to be into the Mini Turck sceneand that's all we did. It was always a good time and made new friends with a common thing.

 

If i'm doing this thing... gotta take the time to Showroom New the trim on the car.. Tampa weather just isn't very agreeable, can never find a time when I can guarantee it isnt going to rain... Want it to be looking tip top! (as much as is possible considering)

 

Maybe we could do it in the Parking lot as an activity.......lol... Just Kidding. I'm sure will be getting a full buff job before taking it out there.

 

anything i could get checked out on my car for an opinion (that is if it still has probs), I'm excited to go to a volvo meet haha. I'm gonna have to see that photo that's taken when it happens. I'm sure there are many more knowledgeable people there than any other place i've gone haha.
