Ok,emailed IKEA for 100 parking spots. I took the number we had and added a few just in case we have some people show up! The first few rows will be made available to Volvos only, then from there on we will set up the rest of the euros that show up! See you all in 10 days......

 

Hey Somthngfrce, any update on the plans? Do you know when/if the Tampa group are meeting up to go over there? I would LOVE to roll in convoy with them...

I gotta take the time to detail the car end of this week.. at least want to look presentable you know..

Anyway, never been to one of these things so im still not entirely sure what we do besides oogle other peoples car, but hey! regardless, im there!

 

There are some folks from VS that are in Tampa that will be rolling together as a group. Not sure if you are a member of that board, but one member is "wmartinlsmith". You can ask him over there. Tech and I will prob. be the firsts one there to get a good parking spot and put one or 2 signs to lead everyone to the parking spots. If you have a folding chair, bring it with you. I know I will. Most of us will just be drooling over other cars and I will just be meeting some folks I chat with regularly but never met. Should be a fun time! I am dedicating Saturday to detail the 850 so she looks purty, but I will have the 850 out probably next to the yellow one if u want to swing by.....

 

So yesterday my self and another member of a different Volvo board did a site inspection of the IKEA premises. If you are pulling into the store and are looking at it we will be stationed to the right side of the store (east side).. Hopefully we will have 1 or 2 signs directing traffic otherwise be on the lookout for the sea of Volvos. In looking at the spots, we will be parking the first few immediate rows for Volvos and we will then direct all other euros towards the rest of the rows. Once everyone has parked we will have name badges with your screen name on them since some folks only know each other bu those but you are welcome to write your name on there so come over to the sign in table! Once signed in we will be also handing out tickets for the raffle. It will be YOUR responsability to get your raffle ticket as we have a lot of people and I don't feel like chasing everyone down! We will be raffling one item every hour in different ways and then at the end will be giving everything else out! The weather is going to be 84 degrees and 20% chance of rain so it should make for a sunny Florida day... A few of us will be there by 11:15am but expect everyone to roll in about noon! well looks like the volvo won't make it, went into the shop thursday for a leak and after they fixed it, it effectively went into limp mode on them for the test drive

comin' in the dodge ram, and gonna gander around for a couple hours

 

Sorry the S80 will not be there.
But atleast you will still be there.

Man, I was hoping to see your S80! At least you will make it though. Should be a fun time. Come find us when you get a chance, we will be in the front row right next to the registration table, if I don't get stuck working it.................
