I have been having issues with my braking system; the B.L.I.S. capabilities, traction control and ABS will disengage and display lights on the dashboard. Ever since the purchase of this 2011 VOLVO S40 T5 2.5L in 2018 I have had this problem. The brakes will usually scrape loudly where the whole neighborhood can hear, and stop when the B.L.I.S. capabilities, traction control and ABS appear on my dashboard indicating they're not working. This usually occurs after starting in cold or cool weather, however, in the summer the problem hardly ever arises except when i turn sharply or when im randomly traveling down the highway. Any ideas? I've had a diagnostic 6 months ago and they said the brakes looked fine . I am going to inquire further on this date for more information.

 

Perhaps there is a problem with brake fluid or brake pads on this car
