Cut Springs
Discalimer- I already know this is not the way to go for a performance suspension. 93 850 GLT Sedan
With that in the open, here is the situation.
My father has a friend with a 94 850 Sedan. He was saving up for a suspension kit (Blistein coil overs I believe). In the meantime he pulled his springs and cut them 1.5" I saw the car and it looked very nice. He didn't try to do any agressive driving (just wanted to give it a bit of a lower look).
Here is where I don my Flame Suit and apply fire retardant gel to all the right bits.
He installed his performance suspension and is willing to give me his cut springs. As I am currently poor and do not plan to do any aggresive driving (at least until i can afford my suspension package), would this do any "harm" to the cars suspension? I have run with cut springs on many older domestics (read: Hot Rods), but am not sure if this might be a nice astetic "mod" until I can afford the real deal which will include struts/springs/camber kit.
Again, I know this is not an ideal way to go, but for a temp astetic look, is it suspension suicide?
Thanks
Rodney
